A good breakfast or a late brunch are definitely the best and tastiest way to start your day. Here’s 5 places you can’t miss if you’re a foodie.
Leo’s Beanery. This tiny family run cafe is located in New Town. They offer great homemade food and delicious coffee, good for lunch but especially for brunch.
We recommend the croque-mon scone, simple but made with the finest ingredients.
23A Howe St, Edinburgh EH3 6TF
LoveCrumbs. If you are a sweet tooth you have to come here. Hands down the best cakes in town. Everyday Lovecrumbs offers a different selection of cakes in a hipster environment. You’ll have to fight to sit in the window.
Apparently a new menu is about to come and we are looking forward to see what will be on it.
155 West Port, Edinburgh EH3 9DP
Hula Juice. In LA it would be one of many but in Edinburgh is definitely one of the few juice cafes. This award winning place is well known from the locals and there’s a good reason why.
Centrally located in the beautiful Grassmarket this cafe serves fresh breakfast and lunch, lot of vegetarian and vegan options available. We suggest one of the healthy but huge and tasty bowls, in particular the Acai and the Maca Nana Bowl matched with a delicious and very “instagrammable” matcha latte.
103-105 W Bow, Edinburgh EH1 2JP
Brunch Edinburgh. The name says it itself, this place offers brunch all day, what a dream! Brunch for everyone, sweet, sour, it really has everything you might crave at any time of the day.
Portions are quite large but we suggest the super food pancakes, a boost of energy for the day!
37-39 George IV Bridge, Edinburgh EH1 1EL
Checkpoint. Another perfect place for who loves a brunch and sleeping till late as well. At Checkpoint brunch is served till 6pm.
Sweet and salty options to try with a cheeky Bloody Mary!
3 Bristo Pl, Edinburgh EH1 1EY
